Oliver Schmid

Oliver Schmid has served as Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Executive Board of SoundCapital since January 2024. He joined the company in February 2023. Prior to moving into the financial industry, Oliver Schmid served as Chief Operating Officer at Baker McKenzie Switzerland, where he was responsible for the strategic and operational leadership of key business functions and played a pivotal role in national and international transformation initiatives. Earlier in his career, he held positions at the two renowned Swiss private banks Bank Julius Baer & Co. and Bank J. Safra Sarasin. Oliver Schmid holds a Master of Arts in Law from the University of St.Gallen (HSG), is admitted to the Zurich Bar, and has completed additional executive education in strategic and operational process management as well as controlling. He is fluent in German and English.
